Now we are getting into the expensive international tourist area, we are seeing a steep rise in camping fees. A few areas here are still closed while they clean up after the Wet season so we went to Gagudju where the overnight fee was $30. Add that to the $70 per head for the boat trip at dawn and you start to pine for more free camping.
Although it is a hefty price, the resort is beautiful with stunning pools and a relaxing beer garden in the shade, under fans, and with a couple of FOX Sports channels playing on the big screen. Being laid back has never been so easy. With the high temperatures and the humidity climbing, even I have been hitting the pool.
It’s the new process. Walks and physical stuff before noon then hit the pool.
