Wycliffe Wells - UFO capital of Oz

Comments

Oh - I would not have been able to resist asking what he was shooting! I am such a sticky beak! Though I guess it is easier for women to ask "silly" questions than it is for men...... ! Funny about those UFO's - they never turn up when you are waiting!
I forgot to mention that. He has a permit to take down the dingoes who come in after emu eggs and any other things they have tried to breed here. Sounds like they had chickens too.

He also takes out any feral cats he sees as any concerned environmentalist should. Incidentally, on our second train trip to the dam he stopped for us to look at a feral cat that hadn't made it over the security fence. It appeared to have been strangled on the barbed wire strand at the top. Boy it was big. Tough way to die but the wild life is happy I bet.
How funny! Have you seen the fantastic Aussie movie Kiss or Kill? That includes a close encounter with some UFO spotters on the Nullabor Plain. Is that where this place is?
No, Emu with a clue, I have never heard of it and I'm into sci-fi.

Just IMDB'ed it and it gets a good rap.

The Nullabor crosses much further south than where we are. We are almost at the top now.
If you are interested in the movie, I saw it on the sale table at JB Hi Fi the other day. Almost bought a copy for myself. Don't watch it if you are not a fan of the "jump cut" technique though (I think that is what it is called) or it will make your eyes go funny!
I can handle the jump cut. Could be a job for ..... Bit torrent
Sorry, you've lost me there, Peter. Is that obscure film reference???
Bit torrent is that naughty sharing software. Most movies are on it in one place or another.

With my 1 gig limit with Telstra, it's not an option these days, so I'll have to keep my eyes peeled in the bargain bins.
